Co-Authored Content Policy

This Policy outlines the requirements and responsibilities for uploading and distributing content that features more than one person on the Fansit platform.

1. Definitions

  • "Co-Authored Content" means any Content uploaded to the Platform that features one or more individuals in addition to the Creator who uploads it.
  • "Featured Individual" means any person who appears in Co-Authored Content other than the uploading Creator.

2. Age Verification

2.1. Before uploading any Co-Authored Content, the Creator must verify the age of every Featured Individual.

2.2. Age verification must be performed by reviewing a valid government-issued identification document and confirming that the Featured Individual is at least eighteen (18) years of age.

2.3. The Creator must retain copies of the identification documents used for age verification for the duration required by applicable law, including 18 U.S.C. § 2257.

3. Consent

3.1. The Creator must obtain documented written consent from every Featured Individual before uploading Co-Authored Content.

3.2. Consent documentation must include:

  • The Featured Individual's full legal name
  • Date of birth
  • A copy of their government-issued ID
  • A clear statement granting permission for their likeness to appear on the Fansit platform
  • The scope of the consent (types of content, duration, whether the consent can be revoked)
  • The date the consent was given
  • The signature (physical or electronic) of the Featured Individual

3.3. Fansit provides a standard consent form template available for download in the Help Center. Use of this template is recommended but not required, provided all elements listed above are included.

4. Record Retention

4.1. Creators must maintain all age verification and consent records for a minimum of seven (7) years after the content is last published on the Platform, or as otherwise required by applicable law.

4.2. Records must be made available to Fansit upon request for audit or compliance purposes.

5. Content Removal Requests

5.1. A Featured Individual may request removal of Co-Authored Content in which they appear by contacting support@fansit.com.

5.2. Upon receiving a verified removal request, Fansit will remove the Content within a reasonable timeframe.

5.3. The Creator may be notified of the removal but will not be provided with the identity of the requesting individual unless required by law.

6. Liability

6.1. The Creator who uploads Co-Authored Content is solely responsible for ensuring compliance with this Policy.

6.2. You agree to release Fansit from any and all claims, disputes, or liabilities arising from Co-Authored Content. Any legal action or dispute must be directed toward the Creator who posted the content or the person(s) featured, not Fansit.
